The river surface, like a shimmering sheet of mercury, was bustling with activity. A plain-looking man, his hair slightly dishevelled, stood at the bank, gazing at the ceaseless flow of water. His expression held a world-weariness that belied his youthful age of twenty or so.

Beside him, there was a woman with a beautiful face and bright eyes. She was undoubtedly attractive, but the look on her face made one wary.

"Go back, you used to know how to speak, now you're stupid, aren't you?" The young man said angrily!

This guy has been sitting here for three days. What does he want? Does he want to die?

Yang Tian raised his head slightly in the hateful voice, glanced at it indifferently, his eyes calm and unperturbed.

"What are you looking at? If you really want to die, just jump. It's better than being humiliated here." He said something extremely vicious!

Yang Tian raised his head and glanced at him indifferently, without paying any attention, then lowered his head, as still as an old monk in meditation.

Yang Tian is the son-in-law of the Xiao family. The woman in front of him is his niece, and she clearly despises him to the extreme. She's only here because she doesn't want him to die here and bring shame to the Xiao family.

Formerly, if Yang Tian had been scolded like this, he would most likely have mumbled in agreement and gone home with his head bowed. Being a son-in-law was worse than being a dog, that wasn't just talk, especially for someone as useless as Yang Tian.

That's why I'm sitting here, it all started three days ago, a dream, a very bizarre dream, so bizarre that Yang Tian still can't believe it to this day.

In a dream, I returned to five thousand years ago, during the era of primal subsistence. Yang Tian struggled to survive.

Having witnessed the battles between the Emperor and Chi You, seeing firsthand Shennong taste a hundred herbs, witnessing Yu the Great's flood control, and bearing witness to the changes of every dynasty, he discussed Dao with Bian Que and Hua Tuo, guiding Sun Simiao, Zhang Zhongjing, in the long history, he was like a passerby, yet not a passerby.

Until modern times, the world was ravaged by a battle between six celestial beings with five thousand years of cultivation. After a dream, they returned, but time had reverted to its starting point.

I can't believe it, yet everything is real. A magical journey through time, a magical return. Is it joy, or is it sorrow? A jumble of memories in my mind makes Yang Tian feel as if he were old and weary for a moment.

"Don't you think just staying quiet would be enough?" The jarring voice rang out again.

The high heels tapped to the rhythm as they walked up to Yang Tian's face. With a sudden movement, she swung her fist toward him, but Yang Tian didn't even look up. He instinctively reached out and grasped Xiao Yiqing's hand. Realizing who was in front of him, Yang Tian retracted most of his strength, but it still made Xiao Yiqing's eyes water. "Yang Tian, you dare to hit me?" Xiao Yiqing covered her wrist, her eyes filled with tears as she said, sounding extremely wronged!

He glanced lightly at the person in front of him, Yang Tian shrugged and remained silent. His niece had despised him for days, but at the end of the day, it was still his own incompetence that caused this.

Mother-in-law dislikes, father-in-law disapproves, younger sister-in-law despises, relatives and friends whisper behind his back, for Yang Tian, this has already become commonplace.

But today, everything will be different. That face, it has always been the deepest longing in his heart. He clung to staying because no matter how much grievance he endured, he was unwilling to leave.

Five thousand years of ups and downs, in the end, it couldn't decipher a single character. Not only him, but many heroes and emperors were also like this, "In the end, they are still sisters." Yang Tian finally spoke, his voice calm, with an unspeakable pride.

Looking at those calm and unruffled eyes, Xiao Yiqing realized that this so-called brother-in-law seemed different from before, but she couldn't tell where the difference lay.

“Today is the day for a family gathering, my sister wants you to go back.” Xiao Yeqing looked at Yang Tian and said! After speaking, she turned and left, unwilling to interact with Yang Tian any further at this moment.
