It's called an observatory, but it's actually just a hundred-square-meter concrete courtyard. They arrived early, but there were already people on the platform, all there to watch the total lunar eclipse. They came equipped with everything they needed – a bunch of big and small bags piled up together.

In contrast, the empty-handed Bo Jingzhou and Shen Wanci seemed particularly disrespectful to this rare celestial spectacle.

After climbing for an hour, Shen Wanci had lost her initial excitement and was exhausted. She ignored Bo Jingzhou and found a relatively clean spot to rest.

But the place has been empty for so long, even if it's relatively clean, it's not really clean. The sun this month doesn't penetrate the ground. Sitting like this, the cold seeps into your body and you're prone to getting sick.

Bo Jingzhou took off his coat and handed it to Shen Wanci: "Use this, it's chilly in the mountains."

Shen Wanci had just climbed up, sweating profusely. Her own jacket was still draped over her arm; there was no way she could take Thin Jingzhou's jacket, "No need, I'm not cold."

The man paused, forcibly pulled Shen Wanci up, and placed the neatly folded clothes on the ground before allowing her to sit down. "The temperature drops quickly in the mountains. If you catch a cold, I'll have to carry you down the mountain..."

He looked at Shen Wanci's increasingly fierce eyes and silently swallowed the word 'trouble'. "Put on your clothes too."

Shen Wanci pointed to the farthest corner from her: "Go and stay there, don't speak, or I'm afraid the celestial dog will be scared off by you and won't come to eat the moon anymore."

In ancient times, a total lunar eclipse was called "the celestial dog eating the moon".

Bo Jingzhou frowned: "If you have nothing to do, read more books. Back then it was because..."

Shen Wanci jumped up and covered his mouth, "Grandpa, can you please shut your esteemed mouth? Just be as aloof as before, answer ten questions with one, and mostly just say 'En'."

Her hands were soft and delicate, with a faint scent of hand cream. Her palms were slightly warm, probably from climbing the mountain.

Bao Jingzhou was half a head taller than her, bowing his head, he could just see the woman's eyes that were as brilliant as starlight, tinged with anger. They were so vivid and vibrant, completely different from the lifeless look she had when she wanted to divorce him.

His lips moved, brushing against her palm, a slight tickle.

The atmosphere around them thickened with the gesture, and their lingering gaze turned charged with unspoken intimacy.

Shen Wanci suddenly pulled her hand away from his mouth, retracting halfway before being grabbed by Bo Jingzhou. The man's rough fingertips pressed against the inside of her wrist: "I'm sorry, it was wrong of me before."

I didn't expect him to apologize. Shen Wanci was stunned for a moment, then reacted and forcefully pulled her hand out of his palm: "It's over. To be honest, you don't owe me anything. Our marriage wasn't based on love in the first place."

Such a marriage is like a gamble, she lost, and that's it.

To avoid Bo Jingzhou continuing this awkward topic, Shen Wanci directly shut him up: “Don’t forget it was you who said anyone who brings up the divorce again is a dog.”

Bo Jingzhou's chest heaved violently twice, his eyes revealing a hint of grievance. Although it was absurd, Shen Wanci still felt that he looked like a stray dog without a home on the street.

She slapped her forehead, a bit hard, with a 'snap', and then she came to her senses.

Bo Jialiang like a stray dog?

She must have had her brains eaten by a dog.

Bo Jingzhou knew exactly what her gesture meant. Seeing her flushed forehead, his face darkened and he turned towards the direction Shen Wanci had just pointed.

The temperature in the mountains did drop quickly. After her sweat dried, Shen Wanci felt a chill. She put on her coat and glanced at Bo Jingzhou who was only wearing a shirt not far away. After some thought, she picked up his coat that was lying on the ground and walked over to him, "Here."

Bo Jingzhou took the coat she offered, unfolded it, but instead of putting it on himself, he draped it over Shen Wanci's shoulders.

Although Shen Wanci felt the wind on the mountain a little chilly, it wasn't cold enough to need two jackets. She raised her hand to take one off, but Bo Jingzhou stopped her, "Put it on, it's cold."

He had trained with his coach in the mountains before, so he knew a little about it.

After the sun set, the temperature dropped rapidly. Shen Wanci saw that everyone else had put on down jackets, and some more experienced ones even started a bonfire, taking out self-heating hot pots to show off.

Look at them again...

Although she wore two coats, they didn't provide much warmth. Bo Jingzhou fared even worse, wearing only a shirt and his lips were tightly pressed together from the cold.

What a meager existence!

The only good thing is that someone isn't being annoying anymore.

To look good, Shen Wanci wore a pair of cropped pants. The damp wind in the forest blew up her pant legs, chilling her thighs so badly that they went numb.

Bo Jingzhou spread his arms wide, “I’ll hug you.”

Shen Wanci gave him a disdainful glance, "Do you think you're filming an idol drama? Just holding on won't make you warm! Being held by you is no different from being held by a block of ice. You might as well take the money out of your wallet and stick it to me, that would be warmer than you."

“......”

After she finished speaking, she turned and went to borrow fire. The one building the fire was a middle-aged man. It wasn't really a bonfire, more like a few pieces of charcoal piled together and burning. After all, they had to walk such a long mountain road after parking, carrying so much professional equipment, and weren't staying overnight on top. Who would have the energy to bring warming charcoal?

The other party agreed to let them share the fire. Shen Wanci turned and beckoned to Bo Jingzhou, motioning for him to come over.

But the man stood there for a long time without moving, he didn't know if he was embarrassed to wipe his face or if he was frozen stiff. Shen Wanci beckoned him several times, but lost her patience and directly ran over to drag him over.

Because she was in a hurry, and there was no time to waste. It was too cold, so she didn't even bother with President Bao's pride of not accepting handouts. She simply pulled him along and left without even explaining.

It wasn't until she sat by the hearth that Shen Wanci's numb hands from the cold gradually warmed. The fire was small, but it was better than nothing.

At six o'clock, there were more than two hours left until the total lunar eclipse, and the sky hadn't completely darkened yet. But the rolling dark clouds on the horizon gave her a sense of foreboding.

The temperature of the charcoal fire gradually decreased, Shen Wanci was cursing Bo Jingzhou, that bastard who came up with one idea after another in her heart, and suddenly heard someone beside her say: "It seems like it's going to rain."

"???"

Without a doubt, the next second, she felt raindrops falling on her face. Large drops of rain hitting her face actually caused pain.

Shen Wanci crawled up from the ground and couldn't help but curse.

Others also began to hastily pack up their things. That professional equipment was very expensive and couldn't get wet in the rain.

Bo Jingzhou's face had darkened to the color of a storm cloud, and he pulled Shen Wanci quickly down the mountain. As they walked, he called Gu Chenye, the culprit. There was no shelter from the rain on the viewing platform, so if it started raining heavily, they could easily get caught in the elements and suffer hypothermia.

They could think of it, as could any astronomy enthusiast, and so everyone rushed down the mountain...
