"Master, Master, where are we going?"

In the early morning mountains, a thick fog still lingered. The sweet voice sounded like birds in the forest, chirping and relying on the larger bird's side.

"Go down the mountain."

A clear and melodious voice, like jade colliding, answered.

"What are you going down the mountain for?"

"Go down the mountain... and find your father."

The voice grew closer, and as the mist parted, a long, white figure emerged, seeming to tread upon the clouds and fog.

The young monk, adorned in a flowing white robe, had a handsome and refined face. A slight smile played on his lips, his narrow eyes gazing at the child beside him with a touch of affection.

A white monk's robe, an ethereal and transcendent being, nothing more.

"Master, why do we need to go find Father and the others? Can Master come with me?"

The little child who was talking had a bright and round head, a fair complexion with rosy cheeks. Their eyelashes were clearly defined and curled, making their black and white eyes even more clear and bright. Their tiny babbling chatter to the man beside them brought life to this quiet mountainside.

The young monk was about five years old, with the same crescent-shaped white eyebrows as the man beside him. However, his clothing made him appear even more pure and innocent.

Upon hearing the question, Ji Yuan let out an almost imperceptible sigh. He stopped his leisurely pace, grasped his shoulders and squatted down to meet their gaze.

The fingers, as distinct and white as jade, gently caressed the little one's round head.

"Do you still remember what Master said, that all the young monks from Anqing Temple would go out to gain experience when they grew up? Well, you've grown up now, so this time Master is taking you down there for you to gain some experience."

"Master also has something to go out for a long time, in the next long period of time, Master may not be around. So, you need to find your fathers, when you have found all your fathers, Master will come back to find you, alright?"

Looking at Ji Yuan's dazed eyes, Jian couldn't help but feel a twinge of pain. He didn't want to leave this little creature he had raised himself, but...

Ji Yuan's eyes darkened slightly. With his older brother in trouble, his parents had aged overnight. He couldn't stay away; he had to go back and set things right.

But he was afraid there would be danger, so he could only let him go find his father.

Even thinking of those few fathers, he was still a little worried.

"If you don't like your several fathers, call the master. The master will have someone take you to the master's house. Just that the master isn't home, you might have to endure living there for a while. I will come find you soon."

He held the little child in his arms, with red eyes and a runny nose, using his chubby hands to hug Ji Yuan's neck.

“That...that Master, you have to come back soon, …I will miss you.”

My master is leaving, I'm about to go down the mountain. I really want to cry, but Master is already so heartbroken, I can't cry and make him feel worse.

"Good, have you brought all the things Master gave you?" Ji Yuan smiled faintly, his index finger gently scratching his nose and looking at this sensible little fellow. His eyes were filled with reluctance.

Nod obediently.

"Hmm... I've got them all with me. I often look at photos and remember what my dads look like. I could recognize them if I saw them... But if they don't like it, I won't pay attention to them."

"How is that possible?" Ji Yuan laughed, picking up the young monk and gently tickling his small nose.

We are so well-behaved, who wouldn't like us?

"Awoo..."

The little wolf cub who had been ignored for so long, immediately pounced on Chi Ji's robe and whimpered.

Looking at the snoozing little wolf pup, she let out a giggle and her nose even popped out a tiny snot bubble which burst with a *pop*.

Ji Yuanqing smiled brightly and continued walking down the mountain.

"Master, please let me down. You're not good, you're heavy, and you're a big kid now, you can walk by yourself."

"I'll hold on for a bit longer, and let go when the master gets tired, okay?"

"Well… well then, but only for a while okay? Master, don't overwork yourself."

As she spoke, Xiao Bie used her sleeve to wipe the sweat from Ji Yuan's forehead. She looked at him with seriousness as if he was truly exhausted.

Ji Yuan's eyes crinkled with a smile, the two of them slowly walked away, occasionally still hearing wails mixed in between their breaths.

Ji Yuan brought him to the small village. According to his findings, Mu Shen had a project here and would be coming personally to inspect it these days.

Looking at this small village nestled in the mountains, Ji Yuan's grip tightened.

The villagers outside also immediately noticed the presence of the two. After all, whether it was Ji Yuan's appearance or temperament, they were too extraordinary. Some elders took a glance and hurriedly clasped their hands together, chanting "Amitabha Buddha" ten times in a row.

"Master, where are you from?" An elderly woman hurried over, looking at Ji Yuan with a respectful attitude.

The old man naturally believed in Buddha and gods. Seeing Ji Yuan's white robe, his face not like that of any mortal, and his bearing like a fairy who could ascend at any moment, he regarded him as an immortal.

Others also gathered around, but for some reason, they didn't dare to get too close, yet they didn't want to leave either. They just watched Ji Yuan and from a distance.

Ji Yuan's eyes were clear and bright, with a smile playing at the corner of his mouth.

"Amitabha Buddha, my disciple and I have journeyed to this place. We respectfully ask you, kind sir or madam, if it would be possible for us to stay here temporarily for a few days? Please do not worry, esteemed host, as I will certainly pay the rent."

The elderly man waved his hands repeatedly, "No, no need. Master and apprentice, come with me! My house has some extra rooms just lying vacant. Just don't mind if it's a little simple."

Ji Yuan nodded and went home with the old man. Of course, Ji Yuan still insisted on the rent in the end.

After tidying up a bit, my stomach started rumbling.

Ji Yuan smiled softly, her little face flushed red.

"The master is not allowed to laugh." The soft voice held a hint of coquettishness.

"Alright, no laughing. What do you want to eat? Master will make it for you."

"Vegetarian steamed buns!" Hearing Ji Yuan's words, her eyes sparkled, and she crisply said what she wanted to eat.

"You," Ji Yuan chuckled, lightly scraping his nose and then leaving.

Her eyes crinkled into crescent moons, her clear black and white pupils following her master's every move.

Diandidian was always trailing after Jiyuan, like a little shadow.

Ji Yuan loves to eat and also enjoys cooking himself, so he's very skilled. At least in the eyes of the elderly, this particularly handsome chef really cooks delicious food that smells incredibly good. Living to this day, they have never encountered such flavorful dishes.

Though it's all vegetarian.

"Master, I've borrowed your kitchen. If you don't mind, please have these remaining dishes."

The old man waved his hands frantically.

"No complaints, no complaints, thanks to this master."

Ji Yuan nodded and carried the food up the stairs.

After dinner, she stood on a small stool, holding it with her hands. She rolled up her sleeves and extended a plump, snowy-white arm to start washing the dishes. Her little face was particularly serious as she worked.
